ClearCash stores every transaction in the currency it actually occurred in. Whether you bank in a different country, invoice clients abroad, or hold a foreign currency savings account, your records stay accurate in their native denomination.

Your Reporting Currency
Your reporting currency is the currency used for summaries, net worth, and budgets across your account. All foreign currency amounts are automatically converted when your reports are calculated.
You can change your reporting currency at any time in Settings → Currency. When you do, all supported historical conversions are recalculated automatically using the appropriate rate for each transaction date.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I have accounts in different currencies at the same time?
Yes. You can connect or manually add accounts in any supported currency, and ClearCash manages them independently. Your reporting currency is only used for summaries and comparisons — each account’s transactions are always shown in their native currency.
Can I change my reporting currency?
Yes, at any time. When you change your reporting currency, all of your historical conversions are recalculated automatically using the appropriate historical rate for each transaction date.
Does ClearCash execute currency conversions or move money?
No. ClearCash is a financial tracking and reporting tool — it does not move, convert, or interact with your actual funds in any way. All currency conversion in ClearCash is for display purposes only.
What if my currency isn’t supported?
Contact us at support@clearcash.app. We regularly review which currencies to add based on where our users are.
