You can view, manage, and revoke your AI assistant connections at any time from within the ClearCash app.


Viewing your connected AI assistants

To see which AI assistants have access to your account:

  1. Open the ClearCash app and tap your profile
  2. Go to AI Connections

You’ll see a list of all active connections, including the AI tool name and when the connection was authorized.


Revoking access

You can revoke an AI assistant’s access at any time. Once revoked, the connection is immediately terminated — the AI tool will no longer be able to query your data.

From the ClearCash app:

  1. Go to Profile → AI Connections
  2. Tap the connection you want to remove
  3. Tap Revoke access

From your AI tool:

Most MCP-enabled AI tools let you disconnect connectors directly from their settings. Removing the connection from your AI tool also terminates access.

Revoking access does not delete any data from ClearCash. It only ends the AI assistant’s ability to query your account going forward.


If your subscription lapses

If your ClearCash subscription expires or is cancelled, all AI connections are automatically suspended. Your AI tool will not be able to query your data until the subscription is reactivated. Existing connections are not deleted — they resume if you reactivate.


Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need a ClearCash subscription to use the AI connector?

Yes — an active ClearCash subscription is required. The AI connector is included with all paid plans. If you’re not yet a subscriber, you can sign up at my.clearcash.app.

What happens if I revoke access and then reconnect?

You’ll go through the authorization flow again — the same steps as the initial setup. A new connection is created with a fresh authorization. Your financial data is not affected.

Can I limit what data my AI can see?

Currently, the AI connector grants read-only access to all data visible in your account. Granular scoping — for example, limiting to specific accounts or date ranges — is not available yet. The AI still only retrieves data for questions you actively ask; it doesn’t read everything at once.

Is there a log of what my AI has accessed?

ClearCash does not currently provide a per-query activity log for AI connections. If you have concerns about an active connection, revoking access from Profile → AI Connections immediately ends all access.

Which AI tools are supported?

Any tool that supports the Model Context Protocol (MCP) will work with ClearCash. This currently includes Claude and ChatGPT, among others. If your tool supports remote MCP servers, use the manual setup method described in Connecting your AI assistant →
